At Ghoganjam Grinding, we are a young company with a long, rich history sharpening carbide and carbide tipped woodworking tools for shapers, routers, moulders, and saws. Our founder, Tim Vandam owned and operated a large machining and grinding shop from 1986 until 2012. He was so good leading his team that, as they say in the movies, someone “made him an offer he couldn’t refuse.” Tim stayed on to run the business for few years and then was lured away to become a supervisor at a global manufacturing company with service centers around the world. After globetrotting from 2015 to 2019 he retired. This is a “be careful what you wish for” scenario. Within months Tim was ready to go back to work and chose his first love, sharpening tools for woodworking. For Tim, it’s his relationships with customers that make the work meaningful and motivates him to provide the best service available. 

Ghoganjam Grinding LLC was founded in the fall of 2019 to provide high level service exclusively to the woodworking industry. 

Installing brand new 5 axis CNC grinding equipment to guarantee the accuracy requirements of discerning clientele, Ghoganjam Grinding has made the investment to deliver the close tolerances demanded by the best woodworking companies.
